Tour Highlights
Langzhong is situated in the northern Sichuan Basin on the middle reaches of the Jialing River, a branch of the Yangtze. Emperor Qin Hui established Langzhong County in 314 B.C., and it is the only county that has retained its original name. Till now Langzhong still has kept its ancient town of 1.5 square kilometers in good repair. In 1986, the State Council named it a famous historic and cultural city. And in China, Langzhong is one of four old cities.
Day 1:Chengdu-Deyang-Zitong-Qiqu mountain
Drive from Chengdu to Deyang through expressway in the morning, visit Pangtong shrine and White horse pass, ancient 'post road', tomb of Pangtong. Have lunch in Mianyang, and then visit the ruins of three kingdoms-Fule mountain. Head to Zitong county, stay in Qiqu mountain overnight.(Optional visit to Sanxingdui museum. At your own expense)
Day 2 : Qiqu mountain-Emerald corridor-Jianmen county-Jianmen pass
Drive to Jianmen pass after breakfast, En route sightseeing of Emerald corridor with breathtakingly landscape. This section is the essence of he whole trip. Visit the magnificent Jianmen pass, have a bird view of the imposing mountains on the cable car. Enjoy the bean curd feast in the evening
Day 3: Jianmen pass-Guangyuan
After breakfast, drive to Guangyuan, the third largest city of Sichuan, which is the north gate of Sichuan province. En route visit to the Famous old town in Three kingdoms period-Zhaohua and the Tomb of Feiyi (General of Shu), Free at leisure when arrive in Guangyuan.
Day 4:Guangyuan-Langzhong
Head to Langzhong after breakfast, En route sightseeing of foothill in north part of Sichuan. After a guided tour in Langzhong old town and ZhangFei temple, you could meander on the path paved by Grey-slab, involve yourself in the ancient constructions and local customs.(There are clusters of ancient buildings, some charge entrance fee. At your own expense). Lodge in the local inns.
Day 5: Langzhong-Nanchong-Chengdu
Journey ends after arrive at Chengdu (B+L)
