Tour Highlights
In spring, Siguniang Mountains is heavily forested and covered by green grass. With clear brooks babbling on and on, it is so beautiful here that this place rivals the southern European sceneries, hence the name---Oriental Apls. There are over 20 varieties of azaleas as well as more than 14 kinds of gentian flowers growing at Siguniang Mountains. When blooming, the flowers become pink and are of high ornamental values. What's more, visitors can still see the snow-capped mountains when enjoying the blossoms of these pretty flowers, which is quite amazing. Despite the white snow, fresh flowers still blossom and attract tourists with their charming beauty.
Day 1: Chengdu-Mt. Siguniang
Leave Chengdu for Mt. Siguniang in the moring, drive across Mt. Balang(4,500m high) pass and enjoy the nice view of the grassland and the yak groups, arrive Mt. Siguniang/Rilong town then head to Shuangqiaogou valley, then change to the local sightseeing bus and enter the valley, the scenery is very beautiful in spring with the flowers in blossom, the clear streams quietly flowing down and the snow capped peaks under the deep blue skky, afterwards, we willhave supper and overnight in Rilong town. Overnight: New Siguniang mountain hotel.
Day 2:Changpinggou Horse riding
Transfer to Changpinggou valley by the local sightseeing bus after breakfast, we may visit this valley by trekking or horse-riding. The four peaks of Mt. Siguniang and virgin forest are good eye feasts for tourists. You are suggested to bring some solid food or snacks with you since it has few food options inside the valley, after a whole day visit of this valley we will come back to Rilong town for overnight. Hotel: New Siguniang mountain hotel.
(Note: Here is the price of horse-riding for your reference, it depends on your riding distance, from start point to Erdaoping - RMB50, Xiaganhaizi - RMB100, Lianghekou - RMB150, the price is for round trip. )
Day 3: Haizigou valley sightseeing
Today, we will go to visit Haizigou valley where there are less tourists. Start our .Horse riding from the entrance, we will first ride on the mountain range which is called Guozhuang Ping(Tibetan dancing platform). The wild flowers are dotted here and there on the grassland, next, we will arrive at Dahaizi lake, it is a highland lake with crystal clear water, afterwards, come back to Rilong town. Overnight: New Siguniang Mountain hotel.
(Note: Horse-riding fee fare 50RMB-150RMB with a local guide included ).
Day 4: Back to Chengdu
After breakfast in the hotel, we will get packed and drive back to Chengdu, our Sigunian mountain srping trip will end at Chengdu.
