Day 1 Arrival at Chengdu
Chengdu airport pick up and transfer to hotel. Afternoon have a good rest on your own. Overnight at Jindi Hotel
Day 2 Chengdu sightseeing (B+L+D)
Morning around 08:30 pick you up from your hotel to Jinsha Site museum, which is located in the northwest of Chengdu, 5KM from downtown. Jinsha Site was discovered in Feb.2001, and it was the most significant archaeological discoery in the 21 century in China. Covering a total area of 300.000 square meters, the Jinsha Site Museum is a place for visitors to closely observe the excavation of archeological spot and a perfect place to learn the glorious Chinese culture of the ancient Shu Kingdom.
After Chengdu snacks as lunch, visit Wuhou Temple, which is built for memorial of one Shu kingdom premier during Three Kingdom period. Have a short walk at old Jinli street next by, houses along this street keep Chuanxi style. Then drive to visit Chengdu Songxianqiao Art Market, where you will find Chinese old paintings, unique Shu Brocade and Embroidery, bamboo products and antique staffs, ect. Late afternoon drive to Wenshu Monastery, have the wonderful taste of the vegetarian food at the Monastery for dinner. After dinner enjoy the cultural show - Sichuan Opera at Tea house, which lasts for 1.5 hours.
Day 3 Chengdu / Rilong (B+L)
Morning around 07:30 pick up at your hotel and drive 240 kilometers northward to Rilong, where the Mt. Siguniang is located. En route visit Wolong Panda Research Center. Then pass through Balang Mountain, arrive at Rilong town. Overnight at Rilong Town(3star standard hotel).
Day 4 Changping Valley sightseeing of Mt.Siguniang (B+L)
Siguniang mountain was called as the east ALPs, the scenery of this place is much attractive. Today you can spend full day Trekking or riding horse sightseeing of Changping valley. Overnight at Rilong Jinkun Hotel(4 star standard hotel).
Day 5 Rilong / Danba / Tagong (B+L)
Morning drive to Danba(about 2.5hrs), which is very famous for its beauty valley with its pretty Jiarong branch Tibetan women. Visit the unique Danba Ancient block towers in Suopo, the grand and high one thousand years tower groups, the Dadu river valley, feeling and taste the folks and customs of Jiarong branch Tibet people. Afternoon drive to Tagong via Bamei. Overnight at Tagong Xueyu Guesthouse.
Day 6 Tagong / Daofu / Luhuo / Ganzi (B+L)
Morning visit Tagaong Monastery, then head to Ganzi via Daofu & Luhuo. At Bamei, do a short time tour to visit Huiyuan monastery, which was built in 1728 and in 1729, the 7th Dalai Lama was moved here from Ta'er monastery (Xining) for a secure reason from Zhunge'er Mongonians' threat and this monastery was once used as the temporary palace to him; and in 1838, the 11th Dalai Lama was born around here.
At Luhuo, visit Luhuo Shouling monastery (also called as Linque monastery), which was built in 850, in its history, it belonged to Bon sect (Tibetan original belief), Nyingmapa sect (one of the 4 sects of Tibetan buddhism), and now it belongs to Gelupa sect (Yellow Hat), the 10th Panchan Lama and the 14th Dalai Lama once stayed overnight in it, therefore, it enjoys a high reputation among monasteries in Kham area. Overnight at Golden Yak Hotel.
Day 7 Ganzi (B+L)
Morning visit Ganzi monastery, which was listed as the 1st monastery among the 13 monasteries at Ho'er area. in late 20th century and 21st century, Ganzi town still presents its strong local Tibetan atmosphere. in the afternoon, you are free to walk around in the town to find out what impress you. Overnight at Golden Yak Hotel.
Day 8 Ganzi / Manigange / Yulong Tsola( Xinlu hai) / Derge (B+L)
Drive from Ganzi to Manigango, around 13km after Manigango is Yilhun La-tso ( Xinluhai), a stunning, holy alpine lake bordered by chortens and dozens of rock carvings. And you will have a chance to the huge glaciers of 6018m Que'er Mountain. Arrives at Gerge to visit Derge Bakong Scripture Pringing Press and Monastery in the afternoon. Overnight at Derge Tsola Hotel.
Day 9 Derge / Baiyu (Paryuel) (B+L)
Morning drive from Derge to Baiyu (Paryuel), about 100km, since in this packageed program, we will do a tour to Katoc monastery (Gatuo si), which is on the top of a mountain, about 35 kilometers in a valley from Hepo village, today's drive will be more than 170 kilometers. Katoc monastery (Gatuo monastery) is one of the 4 famous Nyingmapa monasteries in Kham area, which is built on mountain top and has overlooking view over mountains and peaks around. Overnight at Baiyu Hotel or same level other hotels.
Day 10 Baiyu (B+L)
Morning visit the other Nyingmapa monastery - Baiyu monastery, and the rest of the day, you are free to walk around and relax yourself from days of hard drive. Overnight at Baiyu hotel or same level.
Day 11 Baiyu / Ganzi (B+L)
Morning drive from Baiyu to Ganzi, pass by the largest grassland in Ganzi and cross over the beautiful Haizi mountain and other snow-capped mountains. Overnight at Ganzi Golden Yak Hotel (3 star standard hotel).
Day 12 Ganzi / Xinlong / Litang(B+L)
Morning, drive to Xinlong from Ganzi, enjoy the stunning scenery along the way, afternoon drive cross Maoya Grassland at Litang. Overnight at Litang Genie Hotel.
Day 13 Litang (B+L)
You may have a little rest in the morning, afternoon visit Litang monastery, about 2 kilometers to the north of the city center, which was built in 1581 by 3rd Dalai Lama. In its history, the 7th, 10th Dalai Lamas were born here and several other highranked 'living buddhas ' were from here and played very improtan role in the history of Tibet politics and Tibet buddhism, they are Zhebuzundanba living buddha, 5th Jaimuyang living buddha, the 7th, 8th and 9th Pabala living buddha, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Xianggen living buddha. Overnight at Litang Genie Hotel.
Day 14 Litang / Xinduqiao / Kangding (B+L)
After breakfast, drive 290 kilometers eastward to Kangding, en route have a stop at Xinduqiao, do a relax and the last tour to visit Juli temple, which is about 15 kilometers off the mail road (G318). In the evening have hot-spring at Kangding. Overnight at Kangding Gesa'er Hotel.
Day 15 Kangding / Chengdu (B+L)
Morning visit Kangding Anjue Temple, the main temple at Kangding, then start driving back to Chengdu along the Dadu River, Pass the Erlang Tunnel. Overnight at Chengdu Jindi Hotel.
Day 16 Chengdu airport dropping off ( B)
Chengdu airport dropping off, end the trip.
