Day 01 Arrival in Chengdu
Be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Visit Chengdu Research Base for Giant Panda Breeding, In the evening, you have the option of enjoying a wonderful performance of 'Face changing' and 'Flame Spitting -Out' of Sichuan Opera (25 US$ extra). Overnight: Chengdu Caesarean(Dilun) hotel.
Day 02 Chengdu-Hailuogou (Moxi town)
Drive along the expressway for 140 km to Ya'an, then continue on for another 210 km, passing Tiaquan and Erlang Mountain to Hailuogou (Moxi County at the foot of Mt. Mingya Gonggar). Overnight: Hailuogou Pearl Garden hotel.
Day 03 Hailuogou-Kangding
Drive to No.3 Base Camp from where you will walk through the virgin forest to the Gongga Glacier. Then drive from Luding to Kangding, You will arrive at Kangding-the capital city of Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in the afternoon. After dinner, enjoy the hot springs at Erdaoqiao. Overnight: Kangding Love Song hotel.
Day 04 Kangding-Danba
Take an early morning visit to the Anjue monastery-the very first Tibetan monastery on this trip and enjoy a rare chance to see their morning ceremony! Drive on to Zheduo Mountian, passing by Xingduqiao, which is regarded as a photographers paradise. Visit Tagong grassland, Tagong Temple, and views of Yala holy mountain, then explore the Natural Bonsai Danba Dongyi Galley. Overnight: Danba Castle(Gubao) hotel.
Day 05 Danba
Danba sits in a beautiful valley and is famous for its ancient watchtowers. In the morning you will visit Jiaju Tibetan village in Danba, where you will see the unique Tibetan style castles and learn about the culture of the Jiarong branch Tibetan people. As part of your visit, you may have the opportunity to enjoy a slide show put together by researchers who are looking into this unique culture. Overnight: Danba Castle(Gubao) hotel.
Day 06 Danba-Rilong
Pass from Xiaojin County into Rilong County, which sits at the foot of Siguniang Mountain-the 'Oriental Alps'. Ride a horse or hike in the Haizigou valley, from where you can get spectacular views of the highest peak. On the way, we will enjoy a picnic. (Note: The horse-riding fee ranges from 50-300 RMB depending on the distance you travel. This cost is not included in the price of the trip) Overnight: New Siguniang Mountain hotel.
Day 07 Mt. Siguniangshan Changpinggou horse riding
After breakfast, drive to Changpinggou village and visit this valley by either trekking or horse-riding. Again, we will enjoy a picnic on the way. As you travel through this valley you will enjoy views of the four peaks of Mt. Siguniangshan and virgin forest. (Note: The horse riding fee of 50-300RMB is not included in the price of the trip) Overnight: New Siguniang Mountain hotel.
Day 08 Mt. Siguniangshan-Chengdu
Cross over Mt. Balang (4230 m elevation) on the way to the Wolong Gaint Panda Natural Reserve. Visit the Giant Panda Breeding Center. Continue driving past Minjiang Valley and Dujiangyan Irrigation System, arriving back to Chengdu in the late afternoon. Overnight: Chengdu Caesarean hotel.
Day 09 Chengdu departure.
Visit River-Viewing Pavilion Park (Wang Jiang Lou Gong yuan), After lunch, transfer to the airport. Tour concludes.
