Tour Highlights
Liujiang ancient town is located in Hongya County of Sichuan Province. The town was dominated by a few wealthy families in the old time. Their well-preserved traditional Chinese garden style residences, together with the nearby mountains and the brooks running through the town compose a beautiful oily painting landscape picture.
Day 1:Chengdu-Meishan-Hongya-Liujiang old town
We'll start our tour from Chengdu in the moring at around 8:00, drive on Chengdu-Leshan expressway and get down at Meishan city.Meishan city is the hometown of Sudongpo who was a famous poet in China Song dynasty. His father, brother and he were reputed as 'Three Sus' and nowadays, at the site of their old houses people built a shrine(San Su Ci) to memorze these family for their great contribution to chinese literature. Then pass Hongya county and finllay we'll get to Liujiang ancient town. Totally, it is a rid of about 2.5 hours.Visit the old buildings on the street of this ancient town, the Zheng's familay garden etc. Sense the leisure and relaxing life of the local people. Overnight: Guesthouse on Liujiang town.
Day 2: Liujiang old town-Mt.Wawu-Chengdu
Go to Mt. Wawu, then change to the sightseeing bus to the cable sation where we will take the sightseeing cable to reach Wawu plateau which is about 2,500 meters high. Visit the primitive forests and the largest area of Dove trees ever discovered in the world. Drive back to Chengdu in the afternoon and end trip in Chengdu.
