Highlights

The Mutianyu section of the Great Wall provides a unique experience for visitors who desire to view The Great Wall of China but in a less crowded section, away from the hustle and bustle of other tourists. The Mutianyu section is a masterpiece of restoration and is surrounded by beautiful scenery, lush greenery and hills with streams. There are cable cars accessible along the Mutianyu, making it easy for visitors to travel up and down the Great Wall. The walk from the base to the top is around 40-60 minutes but ultimately, you are in control of the structure of your visit as the Mutianyu section is divided by 22 watchtowers that provide either flat, easier walks, or more challenging, steeper treks towards the top.

1 Day tour to Mutianyu Great Wall

7:00-7:30am: Meet our tour guide and driver at the Meeting Point before proceeding to the Great Wall at Mutinayu.

9:30am: Arrival at the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. After you have arrived, you may explore the wonderfully restored Mutianyu section of Great Wall for approximately 4 hours. There are cable cars accessible along Mutianyu, making it easy for visitors to travel up and down the Great Wall at your own expense. There will be a lunch break where you can enjoy food at a local restaurant near the Great Wall.

16:30: After the tour, you will be transferred back to downtown and can alight at the closest subway station.

Transportation to the Beijing Swissotel Hotel by Subway:

Please take “Subway line 2” and get off at station “Dong Si Shi Tiao”（东四十条）.

Following the signs for exit C, you will find yourself outside of the Beijing Swissotel Hotel.

Please show the tour guide your reservation name and they will direct you to get on the correct bus.

Note: Subway is highly recommended due to the bad traffic in the morning. Please do not take taxi if your hotel goes beyond 3 kilometers away from Beijing Swissotel hotel.
