Summary


This tour is specially organized for Chinese history experts or fans who are deeply attracted by Chinese history for its splendid civilization and profound culture. Of course, anybody who are willing to learn as much as possible of Xian, the capital of 13 dynasties are also welcome to join this tour.

Day 1: Qin Dynasty-themed Tour


In the morning, our local Xian tour guide will pick you up from the hotel to start this historical discovery journey. Today, the tour focuses on the Qin Dynastay by visiting Qin dynasty Terracotta Warriors museum and The second Qin Dynasty emperor's tomb.

Terra-cotta Warriors

It is about 40 kilometres away from the downtown area of xian, to the east outskirts of the city. The Terra-cotta warriors and horses were discovered accidentally in 1974 by local farmers who dug the well. This incredible army formation contains more than 8000 soldiers, archers, horses and chariots, guarding emperor Qin's tomb in full battle formation since 210 BC。Each figure is unique ,even today the excavation still continue in 3 pits which are protected by huge arch-shape hangar.

The 2nd Qin Emperor's Tomb

Huhai, the 2nd emperor of the First united China Empire Qin Dynasty, was in reign for only 3 years. His tomb is located at southern outskirts of X'an city, where a Qin Dynasty Cultural Relics Park was built. We will visit the park and learn more history about the rise and fall of Qin Dynasty, after the tour we will send you back to the hotel.

Day 2: Han Dynasty-themed Tour


Today, we will visit the Hanyang Mausoleum in the moring, then go see the ruins of Han Dynasty city wall and Han Dynasty palace ruins, after 2000 years, the original constructions and buildings were all collapsed and only some of the foundations are left, afterwards, we will visit the mausoleums of 9 emperors of Han Dynasty, the mausoleums are not excavated yet, we can see some huge grave mounds and under each mound, an emperor of Han dynasty was buried.

Hanyang mausoleum

Hanyang mausoleum is the joint tomb of the Emperor Jingdi and his empress. It is the largest underground museum in China. Besides, the tomb combines modern technology, ancient civilization, ancient culture and garden art.

After 30 years of excavation, it shows that the Hanyang Mausoleum is mainly composed of the Emperor and Empress' graveyards, southern and northern burial pits, ritual building, and the criminal's graveyards. The layout is similar to ancient morning court held by the emperor.

All the graveyards and burial pits are in the underground museum. The cultural relics are protected by a special glass imported from Czech. Seeing them on the ground, visitors may truly feel the unearthed process of the national treasure, and the splendid Han culture.

Day 3: Tang Dynasty-themed Tour


We will focus on the Tang dynasty exploration today. Tang dynasty was once the strongest and most prosperous dynasty in the world, lot os cultural relics are ketp till now in its capital Xian city. We will visit Han-Guang gate of the city-wall, Daming Palace, and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda.

Hanguang Gate

It is quite different from the city wall gates preserved from the Ming dynasty,Hanguang gate was built in Tang dynasty imperial city wall,it enjoys a much longer history than Ming dynasty city wall we see today in Xian city.

Daming Palace

Featuring its super-large scale and magnificent buildings, Daming Palace was the main royal palace in Tang Dynasty (618 - 907) where Tang emperors lived and dealt with state affairs. It was destroyed after Tang Dynasty. It was rebuilt and opened to the public in 2010 as a museum and residential recreation center. On June 22, 2014, it was included in the World Heritage List.

Wild Goose Pagoda

Located in the southern suburb of Xian, the Wild Goose Pagoda is another symbol of the city. The pagoda is a well-preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists.Standing in the Da Ci'en Temple complex, it attracts numerous visitors for its fame in the Buddhist religion.for itts simple but appealing style of construction, and its new square in front of the temple.
