Day 1: Terracotta Warriors - Ban-Po Matriarchal Clan Museum
After breakfast, our local Xian tour guide will pick you up from the hotel or airport to start a wonderful two-day trip.Today, we will visit the Terracotta Warriors museum,and Ban-Po Matriarchal Clan Museum.
Terra-cotta Warriors Museum
It is about 40 kilometers away from the downtown area of Xian, at east side outskirts of the city, discovered accidentally in 1974,by local farmers who dug the well. This incredible army formation contains more than 8000 soldiers, archers, horses and chariots, guarding emperor Qin's tomb in full battle formation since 210 BC. Each figure is unique ,even today the excavation still continue in 3 pits which are protected by huge arch-shape hangar.
Banpo Neolithic Village Museum
Banpo sites is the largest and best-preserved Neolithic Yangshao cultural village sites at China's Yellow River basin. Banpo Neolithic Village Museum is built around a historical site consisting of the remains of a 6,000 year-old village once home to a matriarchal clan community. It is the first Prehistoric site museum in China, located in Banpo Village, 6 km away from Xian city. This excavated site of a village dates back to 4500 BC and was discovered in 1953.
Day 2: Xian City Tour
After breakfast, our local Xian tour guide will pick you up from the hotel, today, we will visit ancient Xian City-Wall, wild goose pagoda and the famous Muslim street.
Ancient Xian city wall
It is a famous landmark and symbolic architecture military facility of ancient Xian city that was perfectly well preserved in china. Its original motive was to fortify the city.A moat is still there encircling the entire city-wall.The perimeter of the ancient city-wall reach to 14 KM. Today, tourists can not only walk around on the wall, but also cycle on it. Moreover,the Rickshaw service is provided in part section of the wall depending on the weather condition.
Wild Goose Pagoda
Located in the southern suburb of Xian, the Wild Goose Pagoda is another symbol of the city. The pagoda is a well-preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists. Standing on the middle axis of Da Ci'en Temple complex, it attracts numerous visitors for its fame in the Buddhist religion. for its simple but appealing style of construction, and its new square in front of the temple.
Muslim street
Next to the Drum Tower, Muslim street is the hub of the muslim community in xian city.The 500-meter-long street is paved by dark-colour stone, with green trees on both sides providing shade during summer. The buildings on both sides are adorned in the style of Ming and Qing Dynast, most of which are restaurants, while others are stores. you wouldn't regret for the Muslim snacks of Xian,Such as Yang-Rou-Pao-Mo (the shred non-fermented pan-cake cooking with mutton soup),mutton-burger, cold-noodle, dumplings and so on.
